What exactly does LED mean?

Technically, LED bulbs are not classic bulbs, like the incandescent ones widely used in the past, or compact fluorescent bulbs (CFL). The acronym LED stands for Light Emitting Diode or "light emitting diode".
An LED light is made up of tiny semiconductors (diodes) wrapped in plastic to protect the elements and focus the light.

Diode is a device that allows current to flow in one direction only, via two terminals. Current enters an anode (+) and exits a cathode (-). LEDs therefore do not have filaments like a classic light bulb.

LED bulbs are very energy efficient , but still retain the look and feel of an incandescent bulb.

LEDs use much less energy because diode light is much more energy efficient than light from filament bulbs.

LED bulbs use at least 75% less energy than incandescent lighting, and it can even increase when the light is at low power levels. For example, some LED light fixtures use only about 10 watts, while creating a light output comparable to a 70-watt incandescent bulb.

Furthermore, the LEDs do not contain toxic substances and in some models it is possible to adjust the intensity of the light according to your needs.

What are the advantages of LED chandeliers?

LED chandeliers have not only aesthetic advantages, because the light is often found in captivating design forms, but also ecological and price advantages.
